JA Montenegro invites primary school teachers who would like to run the Mini Company programme with students in grades 6–9 during the 2026/27 school year to apply. The application deadline is 5 October 2026.

Junior Achievement Montenegro (JA Montenegro) has opened a call for primary school teachers to implement the Mini Company programme during the 2026/27 school year.

Following the successful completion of the first pilot year of the Mini Company programme in Montenegro, which marked the first steps in developing the programme for primary school students, the programme continues in the new school year with the aim of involving even more schools, teachers and students across Montenegro.

Mini Company is an entrepreneurship education programme designed for students in grades 6–9 of primary school, based on the internationally recognised Junior Achievement methodology. Through hands-on activities, teamwork and creative thinking, students design and develop their own mini company – a product, service or socially beneficial idea that responds to a real problem or need in their community.

Throughout the programme, students learn through practical experience, develop their ideas, work as a team, explore the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and learn how to present their ideas to others. In this way, they develop initiative, creativity, responsibility, communication and teamwork skills that can be applied both inside and outside the classroom.

Who can participate?

The programme is designed for students in grades 6–9 of primary schools in Montenegro, with the support of a teacher-mentor.

The call is open to teachers of all subjects – the most important requirements are interest, motivation and a willingness to support students in developing their ideas and guide them through the process of creating their mini company.

The call is open both to teachers who participated in last year’s pilot programme and would like to continue working with their students, as well as to teachers and schools that would like to join the programme for the first time.

What can participants expect from the programme?

Teachers take on the role of mentors and guides, supporting students through every stage of the process – from identifying a problem and developing an idea to designing a product or service and preparing to present their mini company.

Participating teachers will receive a teacher guide, programme materials, instructions and ongoing support for implementing the programme throughout the 2026/27 school year.

Throughout the school year, students will develop their mini companies with the support of their teachers and prepare to showcase them at the final Mini Company Fair, where they will have the opportunity to present the results of their work, products, services and ideas.

What does the programme year look like?

Once applications close, teachers will be enrolled in the programme, receive the programme materials and begin preparing to work with their students.

Throughout the school year, teachers and students will work through the different stages of developing a mini company – from generating an idea and forming a team to developing a product or service and presenting the results of their work.

The programme year will conclude with the Mini Company Fair, giving students the opportunity to present their ideas beyond the classroom and share their experience with other programme participants.

Teacher applications

Teachers can apply by completing the online application form. The application deadline is 5 October 2026.

Following the application deadline, all participating teachers will receive a teacher guide, programme materials, further instructions and information about the activities planned for the 2026/27 school year.

We invite primary school teachers from across Montenegro to join us and, together with their students, become part of the new generation of the Mini Company programme.

We look forward to welcoming a new generation of mini companies and continuing the journey we started together last year! 🚀
